In early June, I reached out to Rebecca through Nextdoor to adopt a cat named Rosie. She was in urgent need of a forever home. However, it seems that someone else had already rescued her. Rebecca promised to find the perfect cat for me, and she kept her word.
The 30th of July at 10 pm was a very special moment for me. After two and a half years without my beloved furbabies, I finally had one back in my arms. This precious reunion was made possible by an amazing lady who drove all the way from Farnham to Luton and then to my home in Camberley, arriving at 10 pm. She is a dedicated volunteer driver and has since become a wonderful friend, along with Rebecca.
My life is complete again. Gervais has arrived, like a bat out of hell. From the moment that he stepped out of the carrier, he knew that he was in his forever home. Overflowing with happiness and joy, he has been making countless biscuits all over the house.
Gervais is incredibly cuddly and charming, with a beautiful personality that melts my heart.
Gervais will be an indoor cat, because I refuse to risk his safety. Every day, countless cats and dogs go missing, often facing heartbreaking and distressing situations. We are going to make a catio on the patio so that Gervais can enjoy the best of both worlds, fresh air and outdoor stimulation, whilst being safe.
If you are looking to welcome a furry companion into your life, Rebecca is here to help. I have been truly inspired by Rebecca and the incredible people dedicated to this mission. I made a promise to help make a difference.
With my husband’s expertise as a website designer, Penny Paws was born, and our beloved Gervais became the face of the cause, and as they say, the rest is history.
