Why Adopt a Cat?

Adopting a cat is a wonderful way to bring companionship and joy into your life. Cats are known for their calming presence, helping to reduce stress and anxiety. They’re relatively low-maintenance, making them perfect for busy lifestyles, and they bring warmth and affection into your home. Plus, by adopting, you’re giving a cat in need a loving forever home, which is incredibly rewarding.

The following questions will help us to ensure that we match you with the cat that fits in with your home and lifestyle. So the more you can tell us the better informed we will be.

To be approved for adoption we will need a video of your home, including looking out from the front door and any outside spaces, as well as inside.

This is not meant to be intrusive but time and volume limitations mean physical home checks are very difficult to do, so coupled with the information that you provide, a video completes the picture for us. If for some reason the cat that you are interested in is not the right fit for you, we will do our best to suggest someone else more suitable as an alternative life long pal.

We just need to make sure, that the right individuals find their way to the right homes.

Please note that not all of our cats are advertised on the internet.

We are self funded and rely on donations and adoption fees in order to continue improving the lives of cats in need.

We ask for a donation towards our cats as an adoption fee. It depends on the individual but the average adoption fee is £200 for an individual or £350 for a pair with a £50 non-refundable deposit per cat and the rest paid on collection.
Is this a problem for you?

We will follow up an adoption six months later to check everything is alright, and that kittens have been neutered.

Penny Paws reserves the right to take back the cat or kitten if these conditions are not carried out before the kitten is six months of age.
