I was put in touch with Rebecca through a mutual friend, who knew I was a cat fan and thought I might be able to help foster some cats. I had a conversation with Rebecca, and it was very clear how much she cares and knows about cats, and this is clearly a passion project for her.
Rebecca needed a temporary home for a very scared, small ginger kitten called Ozzy. So I soon had Ozzy with me while a permanent home was found for him. Rebecca provided everything I needed for him (although I couldn’t resist buying him plenty of extra treats). It was really nice to have a cat in my world again.
At first, he was really scared and kept hiding, and I couldn’t get close to him. But after a few weeks, he started coming out, sitting with me, soaking up cuddles, and purring happily. It was incredible to watch him go from so frightened to slowly opening up and feeling at ease.
He found the perfect home with wonderful new owners who are continuing to give him the care he deserves. It was tough to say goodbye, but it felt great to help him, and I loved having a cat in my life again, even for a little while.
Paul.
